Thanksgiving is a time for celebration, family, friends, and good food. But for too many Arizonans, getting the food they need isn’t always easy. Luckily, several resources across the state are working to help everyone have a happy holiday. With Double Up Food Bucks, you can bring home twice as many fruits and vegetables to fill your table this holiday season. This extra produce can be used to make your favorite dishes even more special and filling with nutrient-dense and locally-produced items. The Gospel Rescue Mission in Tucson is serving hot meals on November 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Mary’s Food Bank and United Food Bank will be giving out food and canned goods to families in need throughout the holiday season. St. Vincent de Paul is serving hot meals on Thanksgiving Day across the Valley. No one should have to go hungry, especially during the holidays. With these resources, food is more accessible and the season can be a little more stress-free.
