Are you a caregiver, advocate, or professional working with youth in Arizona? Join Pinnacle Prevention for our Nourish training series, which aids individuals and families working with adolescents in supporting and developing healthy food dynamics.

The next training session is on Tuesday, April 9, and there is still time to register! Attend the Nourish training series to learn more how about how to support the healing of food relationships to support healthy eating.

We held our first session last month, where we discussed how experiencing hunger and related trauma can impact eating. At our second session on Tuesday, we will discuss healing and developing healthy relationships with food. At the training, we will share tools for repairing and establishing competent eaters. This will include tips for avoiding triggers, providing reassurance, and tips for responding to common behaviors.

This training series includes four sessions total. Sessions three and four will cover:

Session 3 - How much weight should we put on weight?
  • Supporting healthy growth and weight gain without doing harm
  • Tips for addressing concerns around weight

Session 4 - Putting it into Practice
  • Tips for helping adolescents manage challenging food environments
  • Impact of advertising and tips for empowering lifelong healthy eaters

The second Nourish training session will be held at the Flinn Foundation (located at 1802 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 9. Learn more and register, and we hope to see you there!

This is something that we can anticipate as science provides so many advancements in the fields of medicine and technology. These advancements allow us to live longer and cure diseases regardless of intricacy. With this being said, caregiving has been one of the most in-demand jobs today. What is it as a job? What will it take to be a good caregiver?
