In 2018, hunger continues to affect millions of Americans. In a recent study, the Food Research and Action Center found that food-insecurity is doing more than leaving people without food; it’s also harming their health. The study shows that hunger can lead to mental heath problems, poor educational skills, and disease. Programs like SNAP, WIC and Double Up Food Bucks are helping to combat these hunger issues. 2018 has just begun! The new year marks an opportunity to make changes to your life. For many, health and wellness are the focus of new year goals.
