2018 has just begun! The new year marks an opportunity to make changes to your life. For many, health and wellness are the focus of new year goals. But with these resolutions, it is easy to lose sight of what is most important. A healthy lifestyle doesn’t have just one path or outcome; it’s unique to the individual.

However, universally, everyone’s lifestyle can benefit from self-love and care. Doing what makes you happy and having a positive image of yourself is essential. Dedicate your 2018 to loving yourself. Want to make a change but don’t know where to start? Here are our top 6 inspiring resources to boost your self-love this year.

1. Intuitive Eating

Intuitive Eating is an online resource that outlines how to have a healthy, happy lifestyle. Unlike other health resources, Intuitive Eating rejects diet culture, leaves body-shaming in the dust, and encourages people to focus on how they feel. The website also directs you to counselors and allows you to interact with other users to reach your needs.

2. Jessamyn Stanley

Jessamyn Stanley is a body-positive yoga instructor who shows that people of any shape and size can be happy and healthy. She spreads self-love through her yoga videos, blog posts, and book. Stanley embraces the body she is in and wants to help you love yours.

3. Brené Brown

Brené Brown is an author who uses her books to inspire people to own their life and love themselves. She has written several books about overcoming shame and seeking self-acceptance. Her most recent book Braving the Wilderness explores the ideas of true belonging and believing in yourself. She also created The Marble Jar which is a company that sells uplifting products that inspire people to be brave.

4. Embrace

The Body Image Movement created the documentary Embrace, which was first released in 2016. The movie tackles unrealistic images in the media, the correlation between weight and health, and overall body acceptance. Embrace follows the Body Image Movement’s founder Taryn Brumfitt’s journey to self-acceptance. Brumfitt hopes to help others exchange their body insecurity for self-love.

5. Be Nourished

Be Nourished is a website that is designed to help people ditch their food and weight obsessions, and love the body they are in. The founders of the site, Hilary Kinavey and Dana Sturtevant, believe a culture that is preoccupied with weight standards is an unhealthy one. Be Nourished works to instill confidence and body trust in those who use their resources.

6. The Militant Baker

The Militant Baker is blog run by Jes Baker, a woman with a mission. Her blog focuses on the liberation of all bodies everywhere. Baker is all about self-love and self-care. Her fierce attitude aims to empower people in all aspects of their life. From fashion and body acceptance to kittens and relationships, Baker can help you in our journey to a positive self-outlook this year.

Health and happiness are not exclusive to specific body types. Any and everyone is beautiful and should embrace who they are. An important part of self-acceptance is doing what makes you feel good about yourself. We all need a little love and care sometimes. Make 2018 your best year yet -- make 2018 about you.

From my standpoint, it is essential for every individual to disburse some moments in doing the interior toils like- developing long-lasting self-love, accepting the truths, believing the inner prompting etc. because if you love yourself more and give yourself more regard, then you can give more to the entire plant as well. By practicing self-care, understanding the emotions, connecting with inner being, learning to be in tune with yourself, regarding the individualism, and practicing the gratitude for yourself, you can increase your self-love.
