Cultivating a just food system: a fleet of 9 refrigerated vans for no-cost rental to distribute locally produced food to underserved individuals across Arizona.
We're really looking forward to working with you to get the Local Food Movers on the road as soon as possible!
Currently, the 9 vehicles are in various stages of being fitted for use, including acquisition, refrigeration installation, and accessibility features installation. We are also creating a safe, equitable rental policy. We are piloting some of the vans with select partners to work out bugs before broad release.
Operating a fleet of vans is new for us, so we appreciate your patience as we breathe life into this exciting initiative. We hope to officially launch in September. When we launch, we will communicate the details here and on our other digital platforms.
